A delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Al Wusta Governorate concluded its visit of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a tour of the facilities of the Saudi Railway Company (SAR).
During the visit, they were given an overview of Saudi experience in managing railways and investment opportunities in this field. The delegation also visited the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, and were briefed about the features of Saudi industrial zones and incentives offered to investors.
During a visits to a date factory and rice farm, the visitors were introduced to Saudi efforts to transform dates into high-value products and methods of growing rice in the Kingdom.
Dr Salem bin Salim al-Junaibi, Chairman of the Al Wusta Chamber’s Board of Directors, explained that the visit yielded many results. Besides being acquainted with the investment environment and business climate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially in the Eastern Province, the delegation also gained insights into the local rail and other sectors. It was also an opportunity for Omani business representatives to explore partnerships with their Saudi counterparts in a number of fields.
